I had a mixed experience at Quest Gordon Place in Melbourne. The location was spot on, especially for catching the Harry Potter play nearby, but I had some issues with the room and amenities. The Wifi was unreliable, and there was no hot water in the shower, which was a big letdown for me.

Rooms
5.0
The room was spacious and suitable for my family. However, I encountered no hot water for the shower, which really impacted my stay.
Service

The staff were polite and patient. They honored my pricing and were accommodating when I raised issues about my stay.
Location

The hotel is in a fantastic location. Just around the corner from the Princess Theatre and plenty of dining options in Chinatown.
Dining
6.0
I found the dining experience to be quite good. The buffet offered a nice variety, though I did experience some slow service on occasion.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were basic, and I could have used clearer instructions for the room's temperature control. It was too hot in the mornings, making it uncomfortable.

The location near Chinatown and the Princess Theatre is fantastic, making my stay fairly enjoyable. However, the room quality left a lot to be desired, with cleanliness issues that need to be addressed. I appreciated the friendly staff, yet their attentiveness could be improved.

Rooms
5.0
The apartment I stayed in was poorly maintained. hair and mould were noticeable, which dampened my experience. Additionally, it only had a pedestal fan for cooling, making it uncomfortably warm at night.
Service
5.0
Staff greeted me warmly, but when I called for directions, they didn't seem very attentive. which was frustrating, especially with my pregnant wife. An upgrade in care for guests would certainly help.
Location
7.0
The hotel's location is one of its best features. so close to dining options and public transport. I loved being able to walk to nearby attractions easily.
Dining
6.0
Dining options nearby were varied and excellent. though, one meal I ordered was poorly timed and cold, which was disappointing.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities are quite dated. the lobby lacks a welcoming feel and the stair access was inconvenient for my situation. I believe renovations could really enhance the overall experience.

My stay at Quest Gordon Place was quite disappointing overall. The location was excellent, giving me easy access to nearby theatres and restaurants, but the condition of the room left much to be desired. It really felt like the place was being run on a shoestring budget, with many maintenance issues that overshadowed an otherwise decent experience.

Rooms
5.0
The two-bedroom apartment was outdated and in need of renovation. The carpets were dirty, and I encountered cockroaches in the kitchen. Additionally, the air conditioning was not functioning properly, and several lights were out, making the conditions uncomfortable.
Service
5.0
While the staff members were friendly and nice, they seemed overwhelmed and unable to fix the multiple issues I reported. It felt like they were trying their best but didn't quite have the ability to follow through on service needs.
Location
5.0
The location was definitely a highlight for me, as it was just around the corner from the Princess Theatre and close to various eateries. It was perfect for my plans while in Melbourne.
Dining
5.0
I didn't have a great experience with dining - the food I ordered was delivered cold, and I had to wait for it to be cooked again. Service at the cafe was also quite slow, which added to the frustration.
Facilities
5.0
The absence of a proper reception area made check-in confusing, as I had to go to another Quest to complete it. This lack of adequate facilities was disappointing given the expectations set by the brand.

I had a mix of experiences at Quest Gordon Place. The location was fantastic for exploring Melbourne, especially since it was just a short walk to the Princess Theatre. However, the room I stayed in felt cramped, and the musty smell was off-putting. The staff were helpful, but the overall condition of the apartment was below what I expected for the price I paid.

Rooms
6.0
The room was spacious in the living area, but the bedrooms were so tiny that it was difficult to move around the bed. The musty smell and lack of natural sunlight made it uncomfortable.
Service

The staff were polite and patient, helping me find my way around the complex despite it feeling like a maze.
Location

I loved the central location! It was perfect for my theatre visit, being just a couple of minutes from the Princess Theatre.
Dining

The cafe in the building had decent breakfast options, but I found it a bit overpriced. I only ate there once.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities were basic and could use upgrades, especially the bathroom which felt average.

My stay at Quest Gordon Place was a mixed bag. While the location was perfect for exploring Melbourne-just a stone's throw from Her Majesty's Theatre and loads of eateries-the overall quality fell short. The room felt musty, and the noise from the street was pretty distracting. It had the potential to be great, but the maintenance and cleanliness issues really overshadowed the experience.

Rooms
5.0
The room I stayed in was spacious but had a musty smell that just wouldn't go away. It was right on the street, making it pretty noisy.
Service
6.0
I found the staff to be helpful and professional, which was a plus. They were polite and accommodated my needs, but they couldn't offer any alternatives when I expressed my concerns.
Location
8.0
The location was absolutely perfect for my needs. It was just 80 meters from Her Majesty's Theatre, surrounded by great places to eat and close to tram lines.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were okay, but the service was slow, and my food wasn't delivered properly. I ended up having to wait for a second serving.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities seemed a bit lacking. I was hoping for more during my stay, but they were pretty average overall.
